身體是存在空間的最後疆界,有時也是媒體世界與生物性脈動相遇的地方。今日這生命神秘的界域,也有著因科技讓身體「內部」與「外部」的連結,而有了前所未有的連續性。

於是,我想讓身體的物體性消失在交互連結的視像系統,中介的儀器設備成為我與身體空間中,作為了解與傳達的角色。所以我自拍身體的錄影影像,將之投影並放大到極致,讓身體的空間廣度擴張,藉由影像的導航,我裸身面對牆上投影的身軀,慢慢描繪出身體的內在消化結構。 從外物的穿入身體空間到排出,這樣的消化系統甬道,其實早成為個人複雜情狀的繁殖場——飽脹的滿足、焦慮的痛楚…,那場場真實的翻製場景,竟有著令人不可偏廢的虛擬況味,我以逆旅之姿,探訪身體的敏感突觸,這其中的交付隱私、任人(自己)擺佈,卻透露出冷冽的質感,映示著當代人處於自我與現實、真實與想像、存在與虛幻之間不穩定的流動邊界,它成為一個預示與聯繫的真實肉體系統。

此件作品創作過程應有的戒慎恐懼,結果竟反示著冰冷的調子,它強力的模糊對愛慾之焦慮面向察覺,以冷淡為車駕,駛向異化身體的漂浮情狀。於是,身體的外顯型式不是終止,而是久處於不斷分解狀態的圖考。


The body is the final boundary of existing space, and is sometimes also the place where the media world and the pulse of biology encounter each other. Today this realm of life's mysteries has achieved an unprecedented degree of connection due to technology's ability to link what is "internal" and "external."

I want to cause the physicality of the body to disappear in an interlinked visual image system. The intermediary instruments and equipment play the role of understanding and expressing in the space between the body and myself. I have therefore filmed video images of the body, and projected them in extremely enlarged form. I try to expand the breadth of the body's space. Using the images to guide me, the projected form of my naked body facing the wall slowly portrays the inner digestive apparatus of the body.From when foreign objects enter the body to the time they are excreted, the digestive tract is actually a breeding ground for an individual's complex moods: swollen satisfaction, the suffering of anxiety… Those true translated situations have a virtual flavor that can neither be ignored nor overemphasized. I have taken the position of an inn and probed the body's sensitive synapses. The delivery of privacy and surrender of control to others (self) in fact reveals a chilly texture. This texture reflects how contemporary people are caught at the unstable, fluid boundary between self and reality, truth and imagination, and existence and delusion. It has become a true bodily system that presages and connects.

The fear and prudence that must be part of the creative process are reflected as icy tones. This powerfully awareness of a vague anxiety involving love and desire takes indifference as its vehicle body and drives off towards the uncertain state of alienation of the body. Accordingly, the outwardly-visible form of the body is not ended, but rather is a pictorial volume in a prolonged state of decomposition.
